Speaking of staying the same, Atlas's appreciation of the scenery is interrupted by a rattling in one of the hollowed out hovels on the roadside. There's a hissing and a clattering and then out from the doorway pours a swarm of Zubat, Golbat, and a small pack of what she's fairly certain are Purrloin. A turf war of sorts seems to have broken out.

And like with any turf war, being there in its midst makes you a target. The tail-end of the stream of pokemon is comprised of the most battered, and just like with people their wounded pride and vulnerable bits make them anxious. Aggressive. The first Golbat that notices Atlas's presence hisses and more flings itself than flies in her direction.

Atlas whistles as she hops back, and the Golbat is knocked off course by a slightly larger one of the same. Physically beaten back by the full weight of Atlas's own Golbat, Skree. The poor, wild thing goes to get back up but is soon tumbling back to the ground. Confused on account of a SUPERSONIC Skree delivered on the tail-end of her body slam.

Between the wounds it has taken in the house and the new dizzy spell it's been gifted the raging Golbat is left practically helpless.

"Calm down, then. Your friends have all flown and your enemies are scattered. Let's make peace, yeah?"

Atlas speaks in honeyed tones as she approaches the pokemon anew and sits cross-legged before it. Of course it tries to lash out. She sees venom drip from its fangs as it turns and gnashes at the air to her right. It goes to swing at her with a wing but catches itself in the body instead before flopping down again. Skree hisses in warning.

"Enough of that. Peace from you, too," Atlas admonishes, clicking her tongue, "you've made your point; and you're going to be friends from here on. So get along."

With all the casual energy of an old woman petting a domesticated Meowth, Atlas presses a pokeball against the grounded bat. It vanishes in a flash of red light. From the rumbling of the ball it continues its fight within.
